When I was in Barnstaple last week, and Plymouth the week before, I noticed how most buses in the area display Stagecoach South West rather than Stagecoach in Devon. This could point the way to some expansions in the area beyond Cook's in Somerset. There are not only the disjointed First operations in Somerset, Plymouth and Cornwall, but independents most famously Western Greyhound, and Webber Bus, Tally Ho Travel, Target Travel, Country Bus and Jackett's Coaches among others. |

Stagecoach Devon are to start a new Gold route which will be competing with Firsts X80 route from 30th Sep. So it looks Stagecoach are going to try and do the same has what they did in Barnstaple but with a bit more class.
