In certain parts of this country , the weather has been quite brutal this year . In March you would expect the green shoots of spring to be blooming now , but instead we have another icy blast coming our way. No two winters seem to be the same these days , some mild with a short blast of cold , others long and cold with occasional mild spells . Seems the weather system that is hanging off the southern coast of England is giving Northern France quite a deluge of snow , unprecedented amounts dropping there at the moment for this time of the year. |

Funny when you think around this time last year we had a bit of a mini heatwave and possibly the warmest spell of the year overall. |

I thought that now we had reached middle of March that the weather would have picked up , but the low pressure systems when they come across the atlantic are travelling along and around the channel so when they reach us there pushing the wind in from the East , they low pressures would normally be tracking between Scotland and Iceland , putting us on the warm side of the low pressures with the wind coming off the temperate Atlantic. |
