RE: Warrington's Own Buses
Regarding Altrincham to Lymm services I notice TfGM's Bee Network list had: 279/280: Altrincham – Dunham Massey/Lymm No mention of either a through Warrington service, or a 289 service between Altrincham and Lymm via Broomedge. https://tfgm.com/the-bee-network/bus-ser...uary-2025- |

Don't think there is a 279 currently is there? So maybe the new 289 will actually be numbered 279. It won't mention a through service as thats not part of Bee Network. Was jcksmnr |

That list was published before the WOB announcement on changes. From reading it I get the impression either one option considered was reintroducing an Altrincham to Lymm via Dunham Massey, or the plan was interwork a Lymm and a Dunham Massey service. |

RE: Warrington's Own Buses
I'm wondering what has caused there to be no through service on the current X5 route between Altrincham and Warrington. Anyone wanting to travel between Warrington and Altrincham will face either a very long journey or a change of buses mid-route. NB There is the 100 Manchester to Warrington, and the Cat5 will continue to run Altrincham to Warrington. |

RE: Warrington's Own Buses
I think Lymm to Altrincham is TfGM sponsored. IIRC when Warrington Coachways ran an Altrincham to Lymm service via High Legh, at one point Network Warrington decided to truncate their Altrincham service at Lymm and extended it when Warrington Coachways disappeared and TfGM funding was provided. Speaking of High Legh I've heard a Cheshire East Councillor has enquired about the possibility of a 2 hourly extension of the 5A to High Legh (which currently doesn't have a scheduled bus service, only a pre-bookable demand responsive service). |
