The jury’s out on this one at the moment. With 508110, 508134 and 507006 gone since the last “normal” service ran and 507021 out for a little while longer, there aren’t as many units operating now. At least 507021 has been moved to New Brighton so may be moved to Birkenhead North reasonably quickly for repair. I think it will also depend on how sustainable is the current timetable-running 6 cars all day on the Southport-Hunts Cross and Ellesmere Port lines, if the current timetable was to become the permanent timetable. The Kirkby and Ormskirk lines also interwork under the current timetable, so may have to be changed once the 777 are introduced into passenger service, which I believe will be on the Kirkby line only first? Is 507021 now in for repair work or is it still at New Brighton? Any ideas on what 777 units are transferring? |

RE: Merseyrail
507021 was moved from New Brighton to Birkenhead North last Monday. The 777 move won’t be taking place as planned owing to GBRF not able to resource it. |

RE: Merseyrail
There were multiple cancellations across the network last Sunday affecting all lines on the Northern line (including cancellation of most services on the Ormskirk line on Sunday evening) and the Ellesmere Port & Chester lines. The reason due to resourcing issues/issues with train crew. Are Merseyrail struggling staff wise on Sundays under the current timetable/usual Sunday timetable in place at the moment? Never seen before so many cancellations on Merseyrail in one day due to issues with train crew. |

Probably nothing more to it than traincrew wanting to spend time with their families due to it being a Bank Holiday weekend and not wanting to work |
