A bit of info from a friend in the know, 27265 has gone to Preston in exchange for 27900, likely another 8 to be swapped in the coming days.

Any idea if if these 8 will continue the theme and be a straight swap for standard fleet liveried ADL Enviro300s.... or Gold liveried Scania Enviro400s or will there be the usual 6 way swap involving at least one depot from outside of the MCSL area and numerous bus types!?

I'd assume it's just straight swaps....I'll post more info when I know.

Just found out via Merseytravel that from last night at 20:00 until 06:30 1 March The Queensway Tunnel is completely closed in both directions and apparently due to delays caused by additional traffic using Kingsway Tunnel most if not all Cross River services are now having to terminate at Hamilton Square Station.

Any passengers wanting to go cross-river are being advised to travel via Merseyrail who are apparently accepting all tickets for the time being.

It seems to be more hit and miss, most services (Stagecoach and Arriva) buses are seen tracking into Liverpool via the Kingsway tunnel, whilst some have terminated in Birkenhead, however this could be for operational reasons
