If it's the latter, how do the local LibDems have so much money? Seems they put a proposal forward to Stockport council, who approved it, meaning Stockport council are the ones who will fund it |

Northern will now run a limited service in the morning peak to Rose Hill Marple and a return working mid-afternoon, primarily to convey school children. |

Very few lines will have a full service before December, a number will remain on 50% of off-peak services operating and while later services are being reinstated on pretty much every route, if what is usually the 2nd to last service operates the last won't and vice versa. |

If im being honest looking at the way the present pandemic is going any further ramp up of services may very well be suspended as you may well need to have a supply of train crew for any staff once again self isolating . |

RE: Northern Trains Ltd
14:41 Manchester to Chester to be held at Navigation Road for 7 minutes from next Monday to allow Altrincham school pupils to catch the train instead of having to wait almost 2 hours for a train. Although, that's a service on one of Northern's diagrams which has been reduced from 4 carriages to 2 this week which might make travelling on that service fun next week! The heavily used 07:09 Manchester to Chester is also a service on that diagram that Northern decided didn't need 4 carriages and there's been reports even the 13:02 Chester to Manchester has been overcrowded, never mind the 17:02. |

Is that someone using a crystal ball to assess likely driver availability/pasenger numbers or permanent cuts in the interests of economy/performance? |

Almost certainly problems with trained drivers and not passenger numbers as the AM extras on the Mid-Cheshire should be carrying a number of school children (some of whom are currently having to arrive at school at 8am due to a train half an hour later not running.) We know from government announcements they will close many places of business ahead of closing schools again. |
