One of the Tridents will be replacing 7367 to Jesmond (which are also taking 7363-5). Durham will also be losing all their Prestiges (4062 to Stockton to displace 1769 to Blyth, the rest to Darlington), while 4036 is due to move to Redcar to replace MPD 1720. However, with Redcar now two more Prestiges after 4025's fire on Birk Brow on Monday evening and 4023 breaking down on Saltburn Bank last night, expect 1720 may stay on a bit longer.

So Jesmond are getting Olympians 7363, 7364, 7365 and 7367 and Durham is getting the Tridents?

Durham will be taking the Tridents, losing 7367. Darlington will be getting 4077-9 (4078 already there) replacing 7363-5 from there to Jesmond. Jesmond will also be losing 1408-10/95-8 to Blyth as well.

Depends on what mechanical state the Tridents are in.

Very true but after a few rides myself the Tridents are in a much better condition than the 2 Volvo's. Although they will become very tired with the hills in our area, espically on Rothbury Road!

Easy way to sort that out - they simply put them on routes with little-or-no hills.

I bet they are alright really, the Lowlanders and Prestiges go on the 63 and 64 daily they are still very powerful, perhaps not the Prestiges as much but defintely the Lowlanders. I don't even know what they are going to be used on but I think they will use them on the Johnsons Scholars then the 50/754 as that's what they interwork with which is a waste for the 50 and 754's loadings! I hope they see use on the 63 and 64 and the 43 as they are the busiest services.
