Warrington's Own Buses
RE: Warrington's Own Buses
Changes to the 62/62A are confirmed.
From the 17th Feb, the original 62 trips from Warrington to Runcorn will stop running.
And from the 24th Feb, trips are being moved around to fit around their college run requirements.

How hard is it to pick 1 date to make changes! Also, what a waste of money making 2 sets of timetables which councils should be putting up on the timetable boards (though I doubt they will change it twice, they should) and the registration fees. It might only be £60 but it's money which is better not wasted on constant registrations.

RE: Warrington's Own Buses
Have Warringtons Own picked up anymore tenders from the changes coming up in/around Greater Manchester in April?

You can submit two timetables as one registration, with dates of operation. School holidays next week, so no requirement for Priestley College services, which the short 62s currently work with? Full revision then comes into effect once schools are back.

You can do it for school days and then school holidays but I don't think you can do 2 completely different timetables.

See one of the Enviro200's window screen fell out or got blown out while operating the 3D in weston point.

The 31 service talked about for a long time by Penketh Parish Council will actually be coming to fruition!

What use will this service be? Looks like a lot of dead time and serves basically no where.

That last trip I can see going straight onto Penketh High school runs.

It's to take people to/from the shops/library/doctor's/etc. at Honiton Square, the civic centre of Penketh.
I think there may be enough using the first morning service towards Honiton Square and the second morning service back from there, but I'm not too sure about that afternoon trip.
I'm also not sure it will take 15 minutes to get from Tannery Lane to Neville Crescent.

Yeah, I think that the morning trips could in theory also come off the Penketh High run.
The problem though is the type of bus - in the past there has been a clear preference for using smaller vehicles (such as Solos and Metroriders) around the Hall Nook estate in Penketh back when there was a full 31 service going around there into Warrington every 30 minutes and then later every hour. But bigger vehicles have also seen frequent use around there at points in the past too.

Could always end up with one of those short Enviro200s.
