Stagecoach Manchester
RE: Stagecoach Manchester and Wigan
At least 3 Plaxton Darts in Bryn, anyone know what they’re doing there? (Sorry if I’ve missed anything!)

I think they are in for store - I'm sure I read that all Darts at MCSL, bar 34797 as it is a training bus) are being withdrawn and sent to Wigan for storage

Seem to be working solely on Hyde Road corridor routes and not the 42 as previously mentioned ordered for.

RE: Stagecoach Manchester and Wigan
I’d hardly count 5 buses of a batch that have spent two days in service on Hyde Road as representative of the entire planned operation.

Goes to show that we are poor with standards compared with other areas where branding and consistency is maintained to a high standard. I was in Sheffield yesterday and thought the work carried out on the Scania Enviro300s for the X6 Airport service looks absolutely superb!

Stagecoach Middleton Depot Solo 47473 was out this afternoon on 172 service doing 15:37 Newton Heath-Southern Cemetery service and 17:04 return service back to Newton Heath.

I saw it on its way back to depot tonight at about 18:30 heading up St Mary's Road.

Doesn’t it just. Magic buses complete with huge flat fare stickers in front windows have appeared on virtually every non magic service in Manchester over the last 6 weeks or so, where the advertised flat fare isn’t an option. It’s p##s poor.

To be fair the adverts do say “valid on magicbus services 142/143/147 only before midnight” hardly p*ss poor of someone doesn’t read the small print
