I'd be surprised if they scrapped a 7 1/2 year old bus that wasn't accident damaged or been on fire. Even more so a higher spec one.

The night service on the 1 has been saved. It will now only operate as far as Bromborough Cross with services departing from Sir Thomas Street at 12am*, 12.45am and 1.45am

*= The 12am service finishes at Rock Ferry garage

Much better times in my opinion. It's good to see that they have kept it on for the short well used section. I am surprised though that they haven't tried to move the ops to Gillmoss because as they have said in the consultation, it's very costly to keep the depot open for 1 bus. GM has the 86 all night, every night.

In my submission on the service 1 i had said to terminate it at the Hooton Roundabout so maybe the people of South Wirral ended up having the last laugh on that one ,

Its now a case of use it or lose it .

I wonder if it running along Old Chester Road (41 route) instead of New Chester Road would be more beneficial?
