Thats good , the Chester service down that side of the Wirral has always been the poor relation in recent years.

With the 38 becoming a gold route will this release some Enviro200s to other routes?

The 1 is still going to be mostly scania operated as the scania's arnt designed to be on routes like the 38

You may also find the spare 400mmc might be a regular on the 38

It's all deckers that has been advertised

If that is the case, why was Rob Jones photographed with the Gold Enviro300s for a newspaper article about the 38? If they were using deckers, surely it would be sensible to have them in the photo!

Other than a few diagrams on the 38 route that tie in with school start/finish times, there's no need for deckers on the route.

The 1 does however need deckers at peak times, and this was (presumably) the main reason it was re-routed away from Mill Lane in Upton.

I expect that when the ex Kettering deckers all get rolled out, they'll end up covering both routes, as required.

As i've said the Gold deckers on the 38 could well be Stagecoach responding to the Arriva 407 being extended to West Kirby in just over a week.

Also i've just seen a couple of Gold Enviro300s on the 38

There's a standard Enviro400 at Moreton Cross with it's hazard lights on[was 07.50 ex West Kirby] looks like a fitter or recovery vehicle job
