Another on the 53 today was 10548 (SN16ONP). In connection with the Merseyrail strikes, perhaps?

As far as I could see the 53 was all double-decker today. It's good to see that the allocators at GM are capable of using a bit of initiative during this rail strike. Arriva, on the other hand, kept to single-deckers on the 53 and the 47.

Hardly surprising Arriva's 53 was single-decked as it's a Bootle route. I dare say the 61 was almost entirely double decked again when really four or five would suffice.

However, I digress. It looked like the vast majority of 20/21s were also deckers, including at least two of the 16 plates. It looked like the 82 had some extra buses out but they were nearly all single deck.

The darts get out on the X3, 53 and quite often the 135 of an evening when there arent any solos. 34806 has been off the road for a couple of weeks, so at the moment Gillmoss are down to 5 darts.

From reports elsewhere, 10811-10815 & 10817 are on loan to Stagecoach West at Cheltenham for the Cheltenham Festival this week.

Not to sure how long its going to be off the road for but Solo 47328 was involved in an RTC earlier today with a car while out on Huyton-Halewood Circulars.

Apparantly with 47328 being off the road this means Stagecoach are down to 7 Solos including the 2 spare ones a day so it shouldnt affect Solo operation too much from Gillmoss.
