RE: 2012/13 Football Season
Oh today seems to have been pay back time for Manchester United , Tottenham scoring in injury time thats the Manchester United party trick normally.

Gap now down to 5 points , this title race has a lot of legs left in it yet .

Fantastic that Bradford City have beaten their third Premiership opponents to reach the League Cup Final.

RE: 2012/13 Football Season
I wonder whether the referee in the Tranmere Rovers v Swindon could have taken a further inspection on Saturday morning before passing the ground as frozen and called the match off as the temperature on the saturday was well above freezing , but was called off after a noon inspection on the Friday , considering how many teams actually managed to play that day im surprised it was clled off so early.

Tranmere Rovers have always had a problem in cold weather as the sun in the winter months is behind the Bebington Kop stand and prevents the sun reaching the playing surface which could have made the surface playable .

Terrible from Liverpool as a whole, only player who really wanted to win was Gerrard. Congratulations to Oldham and hopefully do something similar in the next round when they host Everton!

It was a shameful performance I'm afraid, especially after some recent displays suggesting an improvement from us. Sturridge has done well up to this point, but was dire today. Jones had a shocker in goal suggesting we need to reinforce in that position with both him and Reina out of form. Gerrard was superb but we need others to step up to the mark - he can't win matches on his own. Oldham's day and rightly so - it could have been worse for us Reds - we could be QPR or Norwich!

Indeed, a shock introduction to English football outside the Premiership for many players.

Wigan only just scraped past Macclesfield, surviving a big penalty shout late in the game, and QPR and Norwich were humiliated by lower league opponents.

Perhaps the attitude of some Premiership Club squad 'fringe players' used to the pit-a-pat games played in the reserves should be questioned, as they were clearly not up for a hard physical competitive encounter against fit and motivated opponents.

For example, Liverpool's Coates looked absolutely terrified and intimidated by the Oldham striker - a not particularly skillful player, but one prepared to go in where it hurts and never shirked a challenge.

Bitter comment? A light hearted joke more like. And I also congratulated the lower league opposition on beating us, they thoroughly deserved it and as I said, we were terrible.
