They even admit there is a train after midnight - which itself suggests they are prepared to walk a long distance, or catch a taxi for part of the journey home - so why not the full journey?
And what sort of a message are these politicians sending out - "we don't care about non motorists being denied access to jobs, medical services and shops, just as long as people can not only go out and have a pint (or 8), but can't even support their local pub!"
