I'd also consider moving the lay-by next to the Royal Court to the left by about 11-12 feet, as there is a lot of wasted pavement there, then move the central barrier over by the same amount, creating a second lane for buses to leave Queen Square so that the likes of the 10 can use the left lane for London Rd and the 79s can use the right for Lime Street, while the single lane on entry from Lime St is maintained, although the lay-by could be extended right up to the central crossing so that another bus can fit in.
