With regards this 53A withdrawal, we all have to remember that bus companies are not charities but are businesses, therefore this service can't have been making any money and that is likely to be the reason for the withdrawal. Can't see either of HTL or Cumfybus taking taking this on and that would leave AVON to really run a nightime 122 which is also I can't see happening. Don't get me wrong, i'm not saying that I agree with the withdrawal of the service but if something doesn't make money for a bus company in this day and age then there is no reason to run the service. The only other people that could really step in Merseytravel and to run an evening/sunday tendered service but that is highly unlikely as well.
