RE: Stagecoach Manchester
Does anyone know what caused the fire? It looks like the exhaust was originally behind the bumper. That said, I'm not a believer in arbitary age limits for contracts. As a passenger, I would much prefer a 16/17 year old bus with cushioned seats to a 10 year old (eg. 33100) spine breaking Dart. I was once on one of the earlier Enviro 300's (27599/27600), it had stopped outside the depot for a driver change and the engine was off. Whist waiting there one of the 3 Middleton Volvo Olympians (P-GND) turned out of the depot and passed the bus, I could feel the vibrations of the Olympian as it passed by through the back of the seat. |
