RE: Crosville Club
This was something i didnt know about until this morning when i heard on BBC Radio news that they intended to get rid of GCSE of which my school year was the first to take these in 1988 , to be replaced by a different form of examination from when then havent decided . The school year begins on 1 September (or 1 August if a term starts in August). Education is compulsory for all children from their fifth birthday to the last Friday in June of the school year in which they turn 16. This will be raised, in 2013, to the year in which they turn 17 and, in 2015, to their 18th birthday. This is going to be rather interesting for the schools to keep chasing pupils who have no intention of going to school before they reach 16 but even harder for those over the age of 16 seems like the schools are having the thumb screws tightened even harder now . |
