I was talking to the engineering manager from rockferry whom im very good mates with as we both served our time together at arriva and the reason for this livery is to signify that these are for paint prep buses.
These fill in for buses that have been released to go in to get prepped for resparay so they don't get mixed up with the normal based buses as stagecoach expect at least 8 buses a month to be resparayed at rockferry's spray booth.
