onto a better note i got the last 920 from haydock (tesco) to thatto heath (train station) with solo SR 724, i noticed recently this service has been picking up more than it used to, today we almost had a full seated load with regular users getting on the bus and getting of in places you would normally have to use 2 buses to get to, 2 merseytravel servey people was also on the bus.

Sure is getting a joke the allocation of Solo's on the 10/10A. Even 12 year old Renown’s would better put on to this route which is taking close to double deck loads most times. These and some of GL’s routes do need decker’s and if the main objection is the business case and as mentioned here before why not transfer the 10/10A to GL which would make a case for decker’s at GL for the 10’s, 12/13 and maybe 15 and 18 more stronger than it is now. Perhaps ANW management are taking the .... with the Solo’s more and more appearing on there? Hammer

st helens managment would never let them routes go, yes they are being porrly ran but the routes are still making a good profit

Transferring the 10/A to GL wouldn't do anything to increase the business case. If anything, it'd decrease profitability through dead running. I'm curious to know why you think it would strengthen any case by transferring Jackson Street's most profitable routes to another depot?

If management wanted the deckers, I've no doubt they could justify at the very least an allocation of half the PVR. I suspect part of their argument against deckers would be that, until Huyton, these services can, and do, run very lightly loaded from the St Helens end outside of college peak journeys.

i would say more services run busy than quiet, just the case with the 79 liverpool - halewood/netherley, am getting sick myself of being stood up on buses along this corridor and am sure am not the only one.

Green Lane used to run the 10A until Arriva took MTL over, and quickly transferred the route to St Helens. If you think reliablity is poor now, try using the 10A when GL had it.

The 10A runs busier than the 10s outside of those peak college runs but it's not often at all that they can be noted leaving St Helens with a load exceeding the capability of a Pulsar. With the 10s, it's not often outside of the peak runs that you see them leave with a load exceeding the capabilities of even a Dart. I don't see the route down past Prescot often enough to really comment on what loadings get to be like from there onwards outside of peak runs.

i noticed overall the reliable is not as much of an issue as it used to be (well done to st helens for sorting that out) i just got a problem with the buses that go out on there, if a pulsar gets standing loads a solo SR is far from acceptable on that route, not having a go at anyone on here its just getting beyond the joke
