For now but there will be drivers from Manchester moving over to fill in while drivers are trained on ticket machines etc

Is there any need? I am sure if they can teach drivers to drive buses - which are killing machines in the wrong hands compared to ticketing machines - whilst not suffering with lack of drivers I am sure whilst they are teaching them to use ticket machines there won't be a problem.

A batch of 11 Enviro300's due for Wigan according to UKbuses fleetlist. That will displace some elderly First stock being the Excels and even probably some Darts

They will be 27817-27827, diverted to Wigan, originally intended for Cambridge.

Has the Stagecoach and Bluebird deal passed the regulators? I have heard no news, however I have seen numerous Stagecoach Dart's in the Middleton area namely on route 112. I have also seen a bright yellow Spyrte on Bluebird routes so maybe it is not related.

11 Enviro300's (27817-27827) for 600, and 20 Enviro200's (36778-36791 and 36796-36801) for 610, 621/628, 625/626 and 631/632. All new Enviro's should be delivered very shortly.
All of the 31 Enviro's, along with the 30 (?) transferred buses should replace all of the Excel's, Dart's and B10BLE's. DAF Spectra's 13995/6 are supposedly going to be moving to Wigan too until the summer.

Went on 13995 the other day-it sounded surprisingly good.

I like the idea of the Enviro300s on route 600 as I was planning to ride Stagecoach on the Wigan-Leigh routes.

I hope the Spectras stay here at Stockport together with Man-engined Enviro400s 19621-40. The service changes in Wigan after the 3-month "freeze" could be the deciding factor either way.
