The Collapse was actually on Queens Street and by early afternoon Wallgate was re-opened but only to inbound traffic with outbound still closed.

As a result all traffic that would normally use Queens Street was having to use Wallgate and round by Leisure Centre and out that way, queues were tailing back to Saddle Junction adding upto 40mins to journey times, no to sure how Arriva coped with this with some services getting to Wigan Bus Station when they should have been half way back or even in St Helens or Ormskirk.

Service 37 seems to have become a regular Solo SR working, since at least Tuesday this week (did not see it on Monday)

Does the 37/38 still interwork? 2700 on the 38 on Wednesday

Since the changes in September, they are now separate and the 37 has a PVR of 1 although overall the PVR for the 37/38 combined is still 3.

Rumour has it all st helens solos and solo sr's are to be moved to wales next year with some 61 plate vdl deckers from speke and pulsars from green lane to replace them.

I'll be glad to see the back of the Solo SR'S as they have never been right for St Helens capacity wise.
