RE: Arriva North West - Bolton Depot
Unless more work is won i can also see Bolton going, i can see the 715 going in time since SLT now have a 7 day and evening service on it and the Locals dont pay as much as they used to mainly thanks to Transdev on that 1 Service

Just out of interest is Arriva doing well on the 575's or are First's 'Rivvy Rider's' winning that one?

Well Arrivas are every 15 mins and Firsts are every 10 so its hard to call, both pick up well

The 575/362 could run from st helens and the 10 could be ran from Wythenshawe by adding it onto the 263 which could run through to shudehill and change to a 10 to Brook house.

Would Wythenshawe have enough room an extra 10 or so buses (what is the PVR of route 10?)

One Option could be to give up route 10 if numbers drop because of Firsts improved Service 41 (anyone actually know if that`s already happening or not?)

Another option could be to move a few of routes around wigan to Bolton (395 or 360 if they re-do timetables to start/end in Wigan)

RE: Arriva North West - Bolton Depot
Im quite suprised the 360 as not returned to bolton depot due to the work they have lost but as for the 395 i cant see that getting put into bolton depot as st helens wont bow down and give that up as its a profitable route and am led to believe st helens was after taking the 375/385 to when skem shut down but was told it had to go to southport depot to boost there revenue and to make dead mileage minimal.

RE: Arriva North West - Bolton Depot
Its hard to measure loadings on Arriva's 10 at the moment and compare it with Firsts 41 to/from Eccles as due to the continued closure of Broughton Road for Bridge/Electrification works the 10s are currently on diversion and due to the diversion and other problems on the route they are back to the days when 2 or maybe more buses are turning up together especially in the afternoon after School finishing times until after rush hour although some daytime journies are running together from what I've seen

RE: Arriva North West - Bolton Depot
Arriva's 362/575s were being badly affected by various roadworks yesterday so much so that 362s from what I saw were running on their own and not at all interworking with 575s and running pretty much to tiime whereas 575s were encountering gaps of upto 40-50mins between departures from Wigan.

One of the reasons was major resurfacing works on A666 which meant it was closed all day from Bradford Street to Topp Way in Bolton and traffic was having to divert through the town centre, also Bolton were playing at home so extra traffic would have been local roads in/around the ground causing delays through Blackrod and Horwich.

Also added to this 575s are now further diverted from Blackrod and now have to run via Adlington (Lancashire) to get back on route due to Network Rail Electrification works
