Wrexham is already devoid of all its signage. All Bluebirds are present ready for dispatch to Gillmoss over the course of this week. https://www.flickr.com/photos/wrexhamtra...515624479/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/wrexhamtra...699102591/ https://www.flickr.com/photos/wrexhamtra...515611738/ Wrexham Transport (Flickr) |

RE: Stagecoach Chester & Wirral
Out of interest, where were the visiting buses stored overnight? I know the 3 x Enviro200 & Solo's were at Rock Ferry, and I'm presuming the Gillmoss ALX400's went home but the likes of the Preston & Chorley deckers, did they go to Gillmoss too? Not seen them at Rock Ferry when I've been passing at 0450 on my way to work the last couple of days.... As for the rest, the majority were kept in the Public North car park. |

RE: Stagecoach Chester & Wirral
I note that Cheshire West & Chester website now mentions forthcoming changes in late August/early September. Route 6 in Chester is being withdrawn altogether whilst the evening services on the Vicars Cross routes are being thinned out (service 8 will run instead of separate services 7 & 9 in the evenings). On the plus side, evening services on routes 51 & 53 are to be enhanced and the new limited stop X8 introduced between Chester & Liverpool. This is listed on the website as routed via Hoole, them to Cheshire Oaks, Ellesmere Port, Bromborough, Birkenhead & Liverpool. The routing via Hoole of the X8 sounds like a good idea as it will tap into another area of Chester & make good use of the M53 too. |

RE: Stagecoach Chester & Wirral
What would be nice is if Arriva ran teh 2 every 20 minutes now rather than the current pointless every 40 - Stagecoach could be left with the 1 and X8. |

The last stop before Liverpool will be Bromborough as there are already plenty of services between Bromborough and Birkenhead. Could see this route being done in around 1 hour one way. Im sure it will be heavily used by those wishing to travel to Cheshire Oaks. |

It is also very likely that the 2 Bluebirds that Stagecoach are keeping hold of will be used on the new S1 service between Saughall/Blacon and Upton High School |

RE: Stagecoach Chester & Wirral
just seen that x8 will be every 30 mins Monday to Saturday & hourly on sundays, interesting route & non stop bromborough to Liverpool, it wont be part of quality partnership so arriva tickets wont be valid, be good if its routed via grace road between e port rail station & m53 as it would provide that area with good link to chester & it would only add a couple of minutes at most to running time |
