Interesting to get a cost figure for the Bluebirds and even more interesting that they do not appear to know if its Wrexham Council or Stagecoach who actually own them.

Surely these vehicles were originally purchased outright by First as a part of their Yellow Schoolbus scheme? Therefore they would have been First 'assets' and will subsequently be Stagecoach assets. They will have been costed accordingly and I doubt that they're costing Stagecoach much, if anything to operate after 12 years depreciation.

Stagecoach own the Bluebirds and are selling them due to the fact that they are unable to easily get their hands on parts for them. First had connections with the company that makes them. Rumours are that 8 are getting sold and they are keeping hold of 2. It also look like Stagecoach are to sell the Wrexham depot amd have already handed the drivers their redundancy notices.

My reading of it is that the council aren't sure if they're leasing the Bluebirds from Stagecoach (at £1,900/day) or Stagecoach are simply contracted to run routes with the specified vehicles for that sum per day.

If the vehicles are being leased from Stagecoach then they should be included as a liability on the council balance sheets.
If it's just a contract with Stagecoach, then they don't need to be included.

It's got roller blinds to look authentic, it also has one of its former London routes on it, route 19 battersea bridge to islington angel, which can be displayed at rallys etc.

Also has Chester open top tour, open golf 2014, Stagecoach logo and on the destination bottom roller has a selection of destinations including Chester, Preston, rock ferry depot, birkenhead, special, races and a few others

I am no longer active on this forum.

Someone should remove the paper destinations now, they've served their purpose!
The lower blind is slack, needs removing & replacing further around the spindle so it stays taut Idea
The blinds do look the business, fair do's! Who's going to be the first to get it photographed with the London destination set?!
