I don't see why Stagecoach would advertise in Buses magazine, rather defeats the point of advertising a local ticket....

Oh Just wonder why they might put print on the buses magazine on the fleetlist news and maybe bus enthusiast will post their picture STG wigan with allover wigan rider advertisement. Just curious.

Thank,

RE: Stagecoach Manchester
Interesting workings on 77 today saw 22100 and 16798 on there today, infact 16798 was a swap for another vehicle as the vehicle that was originally on 77 was needed to operate one of the peak 131 Manchester-Boarshaw services so 16798 did 17:18 Lever Street-Chadderton 77 service.

As for 22100 not sure whether this is a loan to Middleton Depot or a transfer as this is usually based at Sharston, I'm guessing it could be paint cover while another Middleton Depot vehicle is in for repaint

RE: Stagecoach Manchester
I think I spotted 22100 on the 77 today. Certainly saw a MAN turning onto Oldham Street arriving in Manchester this afternoon.

Some of the new timetables are now on the Stagecoach website. 80/112 being two of them. 112 will have even 10 minute frequency and 80 will have even 20 minute frequency on journeys to Manchester, however from Manchester, the 112 will depart at 04, 15, 24, 33, 45, 54, while the 80 will depart at 09, 30 and 50. 112's Sunday service is also increased from every half-hour to every 15 minutes.

47472 has turned up in HE's yard with a (very) modified front end. Apparently it had an argument with a tree and lost.

I presume it will just get a standard new front end?

Oh dear. Well if Middleton didn't want the bus, why didn't they just say so? LOL

Spooky timing - was just thinking that in the 8/9 months under Stagecoach ownership they have made no significant service changes to the Wigan network.

Suggests a pretty decent operation that requires only moderate tinkering??

Stagecoach also changing the Bluebird tickets with the Bluesaver day ticket (£2.50) being re-named to Middleton Dayrider and the Super 7 weekly ticket (£9) re-named to Middletonrider. These tickets are currently valid on the 80, 112 and 131 and will be introduced to 115/116 from 1 September.
