Message to First Manchester

Keep using B7s on the 513

69169 was a great ride, handled the route superb, and was driven by a lady driver. I'd prefer them to hybrids based out of Bolton

Ps yes I know first don't see this forum or the posts

RE: First Manchester
Bad delays on the buses today with the torch, 6 471's (to Bolton) and 8 135's all came within 5 minutes of each other!

RE: First Manchester
135 and 471 were probably the worst affected services today. Was watching the torch relay go along Bolton Road/Rochdale Road East towards Heywood on the big screen in Bury and there were queuing 471's heading towards Rochdale. At Heaton Park, no 135 or 137 came down the road until after the torch went past, which meant none for about 30 mins.

And then in Manchester, when the torch came along Corporation Street, all the buses were held up.

RE: First Manchester
Thing is with the relay is that the police close the road for around 30-40 minutes, at least that was the case when the torch went through Hindley, primarily to direct traffic off roads at the nearest suitable junction (if you approach the torch from the opposite direction). A few local vehicles were allowed access to side streets but nothing when the main convoy came through. Its not helped that the sponsors convoy comes through around 10 minutes before the torch convoy.

135 AND 137 Were partially suspended for some of today, I was on 37391 earlier, and a message came over the Radio to say as much, also the torch was the cause of the hold ups on the 524
