Been away in pitlochry this christmas no snow up there but plenty of water gushing down the rivers . Lets hope you all had a merry christmas and that 2013 gives you all that you want out of it . |

Wonders where the bus industry will be on the 31 January 2013 on Merseyside. Who will be the dominant operator by then Stagecoach or Arriva ? How will the smaller operators fare in this day and age ? |

Stagecoach's expansion is definitely a good thing, and there are rumours that 2013 could see them acquire more operators, and if those rumours do turn out to be true, it could see some intense competition between them and Arriva. Further investment will be the key this year I believe as the deadline for DDA draws ever closer, and independents who fail to invest may be left behind and could see them swallowed up within the empire of a bigger company. All in all it will be an interesting year no doubt! RIP 96 - YNWA |
