TfW still using Sprinters on Manchester to South Wales services. On Monday the 12:54 Swansea to Manchester was operated by 2 x 153s and terminated at Wilmslow, where it returned to Cardiff from (not reaching Stockport or Manchester). |

230006 entered service yesterday on the Borderlines Line. Reported to be running well until it was replaced at 1320 by 230010. All time rail mileage travelled 327264 miles |

BBC news has reported this morning a crash between two 158s on the mid Wales line east of Machynlleth on the single line last night. Unfortunately one passenger was killed in the crash. The two units involved were 158824 and 158841 |
