How come all the 777s which had been stored at Warrington, have been moved to Crewe?
Are they just at Crewe for storage or are they getting work done on them?

No, they’re just for safe storage.
Two of the sets that have completed their fault free running will go to Crewe next week and two others will come back to Kirkdale to take their turn.
I would imagine this process will continue until all the imported sets have completed the FFR and put into service, thereby releasing 507/508s to go for scrapping and allowing more units to be imported with space available.

Thanks for the information, makes sense I guess.

Any idea if the unit on display at Southport this Saturday is 777010 or will it be one of the other units?

RE: Merseyrail
I noticed as I past Birkenhead North depot yesterday quite a bit of work taking place on the approach to the depot/shed (towards the New Brighton/West Kirby end), is this work for the new wash plant which is scheduled to be built at North depot?

RE: Merseyrail
The delayed transfer of units between Kirkdale and Crewe will now take place next Wednesday and Thursday nights. 777008 & 777012 will move to Crewe, having completed their fault free running, and 777016 & 777018 will come from Crewe to replace them
