Cardiff Bus has placed an order for ten 9.7 metre Enviro200s which feature a new variant of the current livery. They're due to enter service in March so not long to wait before they arrive. SPDs 379 and 381 are reported as sold to Catch22 The latest arrivals are Enviro200 MMCs 551-560 and "old style" Enviro200s 541-550 |

Cardiff Bus have ordered 36 Yutong E12s which will enter service at the end of the year Also mentioned by myself in the Bus Vannin thread is the acquisition of twelve Mercedes-Benz Citaros from the latter SK15 GZG

Wales was left behind where "eco buses" were concerned so I'm really pleased that this is starting to change. I think it's interesting that operators are starting to opt for the Yutong E12 in strong numbers too On another note the first ex-Bus Vannin Citaro has arrived after repaint into a blue variant of the new livery seen on the rendering of the Yutong released this afternoon. All these electric buses for Cardiff and Newport are encouraging. Alas Stagecoach are no longer purchasing electric buses for the Caerphilly area at this stage. |
