It really is not Merseyrail's day today. They could do without these incidents especially during these time. |

RE: Merseyrail
I would probably guess that any test running of the 777s would likely be cancelled tonight if this reckless behaviour continues. |

Another thing to think about is unit mileage on the spare units as the looming arrival of class 777 units will mean at some point some units will have to be used sparingly to avoid going over mileage limits for exams . The Liverpool Central - Hunts Cross sounded like a battlefield yesterday. |

In this respect, the reduced service due to the pandemic has saved on mileage. A number of units (including 508114, 508103, 508110, 508139, 508131, 507007, 507015 and 507010) spent many weeks out of service stabled at New Brighton, West Kirby and Southport sidings. 508114 spent around 2 months out of action since being brought back into service at the end of May. Overhauls are still continuing on the current fleet but the units are being managed carefully to avoid as you say, a number of units reaching their mileage limit at the same time. The timetable currently allows for rotation of units to ensure units can be maintained for exams etc. as required. Not sure when a 15 minute service frequency may resume though? |

RE: Merseyrail
It sounds like a few 3 and/or 6 coach empty stock runs to carry out a full track test to ensure fault free running may be in order. |

More disruption again this morning on Merseyrail. It was reported on there twitter feed that the 08:19 from Birkenhead central to Liverpool was disrupted due to disorder on board in which someone was obstructing the train doors. |

RE: Merseyrail
Is there a delivery tomorrow for another 777? There is the usual path booked on RTT arriving at Kirkdale depot but any confirmation this is happening and what unit(s) this may be? |
