The 48 only requires 1 vehicle - the only thing I can think of for these mini vehicles is something connected to this article from last week:

Many thanks - I am guessing from the time that is in the direction heading towards Leigh?
Just to know which runs are generally decker-allocated.

48 is supposed to have a large vehicle due to school/college loadings, which is reportedly why Cheshire West told Howard's they were breaching their contract by using the small Dart on it.

Small Enviro will probably be fine for the 47 during the summer holidays when the same vehicle won't be running a Lymm High service.
