I drove 2515 about 2 or 3 years ago on a driving assessment when it was assigned to Birkenhead depot.

I found there were a few times when I had to rev the engine to make it pick up speed. This resulted in the gearbox kicking down and giving a bad ride.

But I certainly agree they are a bit low on power.

How much power do the SB120s have I thought it was around 160hp for the 3.9s as 120 seems to be very low for that size of bus.

I'm afraid I'm not sure how much power those buses have but 2515 did seem to be struggling that day.

The thing about it is that the day I had that driving assessment the traffic wasn't too bad although there were some kamikaze car drivers out that tried to tske me on, forcing me to brake thus requiring the engine to be revved up again to kick the gear back down to get it going.

Not sure what the performance of 2515 is like now but It certainly needed attention that day.

Believe these have moved to winsford on a permanent basis as some of the plaxton centros have been having issues.
