RE: Transport for Wales Rail
Hasn't it been an aspiration for a while to extend the Wrex-Bid service to Birkenhead North. It's just timing constraints which have stopped it. You would need an extra unit to sit around for almost an hour. Perhaps when the D-train comes in they will be able to do it. |

I have heard various rumours concerning this , is this to enable a unit to be stabled on Birkenhead North depot in future timetable changes rather than the circuitous trip to Shrewsbury or Chester. |

Arent Merseyrail supposed to be transferring there servicing to Kirkdale when the class 777 come on stream , meaning Birkenhead North becoming just a stabling point for units , probably also meaning spare space becomes available even after stabling Merseyrail units . |

The line between llandudno and blaenau ffestiniog will reopen in July . There had been concern that the line would have been closed during the Eisteddfod which is being held in Llanrwst this year but that fear has now be allayed. The line has been filled closed to rail traffic since 15 and 16 March. |
