I heard that 53 had a engine fire in the depot back in April last year. I have no idea if it ever re-entered service or not. Maybe someone can confirm?

53 was towed away after the fire and hasn't been seen since.
37 is on 61 today. Should be 1855 off Queen Square

Bear in mind though that the remaining four are the shorter version, with only 32 seats rather than 40. Having recently replenished their fleet of smaller vehicles, they might not want any more at the moment, because there are relatively few services for which they'd be the appropriate size.

Also would think Halton have a fleet renewal budget and once its spend that's it until the next financial year, unless by not spending the previous years budget its carried forward, I suspect the budget looking at previous years is worth 4-6 recent second hand vehicles per year. (presumably last 1-8 years for age).
