According to merseytravel bus review 423 has gone it looks like 124/5 getting extended to Woodside from Seacombe to replace 423

They're just proposed changes on Merseytravels site, they're all not official yet until they put up the confirmed changes, plus if you look through the posts it's been mentioned that the 413 and 423 have been registered on VOSA and 60008 has mentioned that arriva have said it's not being withdrawn

The 423 change is, it no longer serves Sandbrook estate, & when you think about it. it's odd all the routes that serve Hoylake Road direct from Moreton Cross to Reeds Lane Monday to Saturday until around 7.30pm, currently there is no direct regular bus Evenings & Sundays, there is the Sunday 129 but only 1 journey each way, currently the 38A/423 go through the Sandbrook & 901 goes down Pasture Road, Pasture Avenue & Danger Lane.

Seeing as Arriva have looked at withdrawing the 423 service , it must be on the cusp for withdrawal in any following timetable revision , follow the old adage use or lose it .

RE: Wirral Bus Network Review
I would have thought that re-routing the 1A along Hoylake Road after 19.30 would make morse sense then sending it round Danger Lane and Pasture Avenue. Having drove the present 901 route in the past the Danger Lane/Pasture Road corridor carries fresh air By routing the 1A down Hoylake Road it would link passengers that have a daytime service into the evening network and the rail services at Leasowe Station
