TfGM would look at current 620 loadings to Hindley Green to work out whether it's considered 'socially necessary' and/or viable to provide a link through to Bolton. Allow me to share with you a photo of yesterday afternoon's 620 loading from Ashton to Hindley Green:

i cant see the photo but looking at loadings to hindley green will show nothing as that number would go up if the service was put back to bolton or even atherton

The service is empty. Fact of the matter is though that current loadings would be an influence upon any future extension. I wish you all the best with your campaign Terry but I'm sceptical as to whether it will yield results to say the least.

hindley green from what i have seen there is nothing there and most people there have a car so yes you will get little numbers there

if you take it to atherton or bolton (or both) you create a link to 2 major places this taking the loads up as people still go from st helens- bolton plus people still go from st helens to atherton then you will pick people up from atherton going to bolton and you may also get people going form hindley green to bolton on it this making the service used more

thats how i currently see things myself

TfGM have to watch out that they dont impinge on any potential commercial operator trying to get from Hindley Green to Bolton.

TfGM are also in a way being told by Central Government to cut down on spending , so new routes would come at the price of an old route to somewhere that maybe as other have said socially necessary.

they just took down a few routes including that 9 in salford

The 9 is slightly different as it is being replaced by a commercial service.

I hate to be a sceptic, but I cannot see your petition working - the demand just doesn't seem to be there and I'm sure going by train would be both quicker and easier.
