Any news on how the 30 is getting on, it looked very quiet yesterday. This service has not been very well advertised and no timetable info on stops! Its a shame as I think it could potentially be a good viable route. Even a flyer distraputed in the local shops would attract custom

I did four journeys on the 30 yesterday, most buses had about five people on throughout the whole route, of the four journeys three of them where at least 10 minutes late departing Liverpool with one not even stopping on the right stop lol, but not a bad try for the first day, plus some of the drivers where really friendly and trying to attract custom.

Me and Raawwwrrr! where waiting in Netherton for the evening 130 service only to see the Dart on the service go around the round about to head back the way it came thus not serving the stop where we where waiting, I found it quite hilarious, maybe he'll find his way around the route sooner rather than later lol
What are they like to work for? How many routes do they serve?
One thing I do have to credit Impera for us most if not all the drivers I've had have been really friendly & helpful, one driver was very thankful to me as he kind of got lost on the 130 haha so of course I gave him directions, which is expected really as its there debut around Liverpool.

RSTurbo - why don't you ring them up to find out more information ?

I dont think they really want to advertise the 30 for the reason that it is being withdrawn, they are just going through the motions with the route , I do wonder whether the 30 was registered before they knew that they had obtained Merseytravel tendered work in Liverpool .
It must be one of the shortest new bus routes ever introduced. It lasted just shy of a month. Yet again the public get a service introduced, they just start to get used to it and then the service is pulled. It makes no sense at all.
I think that Arriva probably would have just enhanced there Cross River service 433 from Liscard if the 30 had stayed put .

Deregulation was introduced to induce competition , something that in the last decade though seems to have fallen out of favour
Arriva would probably have swamped the route that the 30 takes to Liverpool leaving it pick up the crumbs of service. Probably sensible idea to withdraw early as a small company such as Impera would not be able to compete at this stage with heavy competition. This of course is just my opinion.
