Any ideas what the longest in terms of distance (local stopping) bus service within Merseyside, (or calls through Merseyside)?

My contender is the Cumfybus 811, dep 11:52 SSuX Leasowe - Broughton arr 13:44. Probably the best pence per mile ratio too, just £1.10.

Probably would have said the X2 Liverpool-Preston before the route got split to Southport, at least, on paper.
That is the longest I can find too - I was thinking route 1 (Liverpool - Chester) but that is slightly shorter!

The shortest route I can find is 245 (Huyton Circular via Salerno Drive) 8 mins to make the lap from Huyton Bus Station and back!
47 Banks-Liverpool?

I can beat your 8 minutes!

Ace 4 departure from Dodds Lane at 07:03, arrives Maghull Station 07:10 Big Grin Only 1 though...
The longest route I can think of is the X2/2X - although there is a change of number in Southport, it is a through journey and was originally a through X2 before the split.
86/87 Leasowe to Eastham or 118/119 New Brighton to Mill Park???
The 817 Arrowe Park - Broughton is slightly longer than the 811, at over 2 hours, ie depart 0411 arrive 0614.
Natural question to the one asked then ,if the 817 is the longest in and through Merseyside , what is the longest route that stays fully within Merseyside ?
The 89 from St Helens to JLA is approx 16.5 miles.
Once the 89 gets towards Prescot it seems to go round the houses before eventually reaching St Helens
