Probably fitted with the desirable Cummins L10 engine (like most of the later Olympians).
MTL loved the L10/ZF Ecomat combination so much, that not only were the 0201-0270 Ollys fitted with them, but the Silver Service ones (0271-0308) got them too!

Awesome buses, sadly missed.

No offence but, if they were loved that much by MTL, why weren't 0309+ that combination?
I think the Cummins L10 option was dropped before the R-WVRs were ordered.

Ah - fair enough! Thanks for that.
It did in fact have the L10 Cummins with the ZF box combination. Sounded absolutely beautiful. N275 CKB was fabulous when we had it but F307 was even better..

That's right CX06. The Cummins L10 and Volvo TD102KF engine options were dropped in mid/late 1996 - these were replaced by the Euro II Volvo D10-245 engine
Fairbrothers have today acquired one of Springfields/Howards Plaxton bodied Darts. Not sure of the reg but it's a Y Plate with double doors. Should be painted and out in service on Monday.
Taking an educated guess having viewed Mr Howard's recent Flickr updates, it'll be Y386 LCS.

Indeed it is, I saw it yesterday being towed from the depot along Halton's 62 route
Yes it is Y386 LCS. Electrician has been working on it today. Should be ready for Monday
