I note that inside the leaflet that it say "LCC is continuing to work with bus operators, to develop a sustainable option to restore a daytime service link for Gressingham, Arkholme and Whittington and the Lune Valley" wasn't it LCC that withdraw the subsidiary for these services?

When they had no money yes but they have now got £1 Million for the bus budget which is where these improvements are coming from.

So why not simply reinstate the subsidiary for these services?
Possibly a problem in operators getting the resources the run these services given that they have probably cut down on said resources at the time of the original funding cut.
Looking at how much work Rotala (Prestonbus) have won in these tenders I'm wondering how many will actually be run by Prestonbus themselves and whether any will be contracted out to Rotala's Diamond Northwest's Atherton Depot as at the moment Atherton are running the Chorley Circulars and 114 Chorley-Leyland service only I don't think Preston Depot have got enough staff to operate them have they?

As for vehicles I'm guessing Rotala will transfer some up from other devisions as I know some have become available from their Wessex devision.
February 2018 service changes booklet now online.
