Wonder if that 408 is like the old 124/5 or just a short version of 409?
Probably of interest, not read through it all yet, but has a rough timeline of procurement and awards....

I may well have missed this earlier. It's just that it's only today, albeit elsewhere online, that I have found out that buses will trade under Metro Network.

West Yorkshire might not be able to do likewise now.

Pity the LCRCA couldn’t have just stuck with the Merseytravel Smart branding copyright aside etc.. This would’ve saved a fair bit of time and money considering the rebranding costs. Also noted as of late the old “Smart” bus stops are gradually being replaced with traditional black and yellow examples, in and around South Liverpool anyway.
I'm just a little confused.....

Will there still be need for the smaller operator depots (ie, HTL, A2B, Cumfybus etc) or will all services be operated out of the larger depots (ie, Arriva and Stagecoach)?

And what of school services as most are operated under contract but there are some that are operated commercially?
In Manchester school services are included in the same way normal commercial services are. I think there are a few excluded that some schools contract out themselves.
Will evening and Sunday route variations become the same as the daytime (ie 32A and 35) once franchising starts?

I am presuming the 35 will be as per the Daytime service as there is no asterisk by the evening/Sunday frequency.

I am presuming the 35 will be as per the Daytime service as there is no asterisk by the evening/Sunday frequency which would suggest full route served.

Always wondered why there wasn’t an evening service to St Helens Junction.
