The second class 60 to work for Colas is 60021. On Thursday it worked from Ratcliffe PS to Gladstone Dock, Liverpool with coal empties returning to Ratcliff with a loaded train.

After testing 60021 has now entered service with Colas at Cardiff.

Colas Rail is to take over operation of the Lindsay OR to Preston Docks tank train from D B Schencker. Route learning was due to commence between Doncaster and Preston yesterday but was cancelled.
The fourth Class 60 to be overhauled for Colas is 60085. Yesterday it was on trial and worked 6F58 Ratcliffe PS to Liverpool BT empty MGR from Toton, returning overnight with the loaded train.
60056 has been overhauled at Toton and is now awaiting a repaint into Colas Rail livery.
ColasRail are reported to have ordered a further seven class 70, likely to be numbered 70811-17.
37254 which was withdrawn from mainline service in 1998 is now ready to return to service with Colas Rail.
