The Fort William portion of the Highland sleeper is this week diverted to Oban. Yesterday morning this was worked by 73967 and 73968 making their debuts (at last) on sleeper workings.
Class 92s are expected to return to the sleepers in the early summer after receiving reliability modifications.
73967 worked the 0443 Edinburgh-Aberdeen sleeper on Saturday morning.
73966 and 73969 were noted outside Polmadie Depot on Tuesday.
Obviously a shortage of Class 73/9 as yesterday morning the Inverness portion of the overnight sleeper was taken forward from Edinburgh by 66733 and Colas 47739. The pair returned south with the sleeper last night.
And the following two days it is 66739 and 47739 as ETHEL.
