On the 112 today so assume ticket machine now fitted.
No sign of the Presidents though.

When I was first told about the Presidents going north to Scotland, early January was mentioned as a likely time so possibly they have been withdrawn ready for thier imminent departure.

Certainly no sign today, does anyone know for sure if they are withdrawn prior to their journey.

Would love to know where in Scotland these Presidents are going to go...major issue with sending them to East Scotland is their capacity in view of school contracts.

Bluebird/Highland/North Scotland or whatever you want to call it is a no-go, they're sick to death of their B9TLs (which begs the question - why haven't they been foisted onto East Scotland?)

I thought B9TL's where fairly reliable apart from their inconvenient engine bay layout, what's wrong with them?

RE: Stagecoach Manchester
The North Scotland lot are plagued with electrical gremlins, to the point where they've had to be split between Aberdeen and Inverness so as to be nearer the Volvo dealers.

A trial rewire on one of them (16946?) has not brought any noticeable benefits, apparently.

Does make you wonder if the problems are more down to the Optare Olympus bodies though...AFAIK the ex-First B9TL/Geminis at Glenrothes are fine.
