RE: Greater Manchester Service Changes
Can expect a lot of changes in April 2022 with changes to tendered services around Bolton, Middleton, Oldham, Rochdale and Stockport planned for next Spring, along with some changes in January 2022. Several tendered services in Oldham and Rochdale are changed with new routes and services proposed. And another re-routing/change to the 44 route.

31 October 2021

607/608 (Diamond/Hattons): Services that were previously operated by Diamond were scheduled to be run by Hattons but were unable to run services due to shortage of drivers. After failed re-negotiations, the services were withdrawn.

30 January 2022

516 (Diamond): Re-routed between Middlebrook and Horwich to run via Brazley
570 (Vision Bus): Service withdrawn and replaced by new circular routes 573/574.
573/574 (Vision Bus): New circular routes introduced, running via Sutton Estate, Ladybridge and Markland Hill, replacing existing services 570, 574 and 577.
574 (Vision Bus): Existing service 574 between Bolton and Markland Hill withdrawn and replaced by new circular routes 573/574
577 (Vision Bus): Service withdrawn and replaced by new circular routes 573/574 and service 516. Rest of route covered by services 7, 20, 125, 520 and 575.

1 Bolton (TBC): New late Monday-Saturday evening and Sunday evening service introduced between Bolton and Egerton, partly replacing service 533
12/12A (Stagecoach): Existing service proposed to be withdrawn and replaced by extended R7 service.
44 (TBC): Route and times changed with service proposed to be re-routed between Withington and Northenden via Mauldeth Road and Parrs Wood Road to East Didsbury then via 288 route to Northenden. Service also extended from Wythenshawe Hospital to Altrincham, partly replacing service 288.
125 Middleton (TBC): Existing service, operated by Stotts, running between Hollin, Middleton and Alkrington, is revised to run between Middleton and Heywood via Hollin Lane, Langley Lane and Birch.
129 (Go North West): Route and times proposed to change with service running between Middleton and Hollin via Boarshaw Road in both directions.
156 (Stagecoach): Extra Sunday daytime journeys proposed to be introduced between Manchester and NMGH
184 (First): Evening/Sunday journeys between Oldham and Grotton proposed to be withdrawn (no details on Grotton-Huddersfield section).
247 (Arriva): Times changed with additional journey at 0436 from Altrincham to Trafford Centre introduced for connections to Trafford Park.
288 (Little Gem): Service re-routed to run between Altrincham and Manchester Airport only, running hourly Monday-Saturday daytime and every two hours evenings and Sundays. Altrincham-East Didsbury section mostly covered by re-routed service 44.
356 (Nexus Move): Journeys via Carr Hill Road revised to run every two hours (alternative journey). Evening service revised to run two-hourly and Sunday daytime service revised to run hourly with all journeys running the whole route.
364 (Stotts): Times changed with the first and last journeys withdrawn.
374 (TBC): Evening and Sunday service introduced, running every two hours
375 Stockport (TBC): Evening and Sunday service introduced between Stockport and Hawk Green, running every two hours
382 (TBC): Times changed with some early morning journeys withdrawn.
402 (TBC): Service proposed to be re-routed to run between Oldham and Shaw, running via existing 402 route between Oldham and Royton via the hospital and Chadderton Park before continuing to Shaw via High Crompton, replacing service 408, running a circular route around Shaw and Buckstones.
403 (TBC): Service re-routed to run between Oldham and Heyside via Egerton Street, Higginshaw Road. Higginshaw Lane and Turf Lane, partly replacing service 402. Additional journeys introduced.
408 (First): Existing service withdrawn and partly replaced by service 402 between Royton and Shaw and services R9/R10 between Shaw and Rochdale
415 (Go North West/Stagecoach): Evening service reduced to every two hours
435 (Transdev): Existing service withdrawn and partly replaced by services R9/R10 between Shaw and Rochdale
456/458 (Transdev): Route and times changed with services running as service 458 between Rochdale and Littleborough via Wardle and Hollingworth Lake, running half-hourly Monday-Saturday daytime and hourly evening/Sundays.
457 (Transdev): Times changed with evening/Sunday service introduced, replacing service 458 around Shore and Stansfield
467/468 (Transdev): Evening and Sunday journeys on service 467 curtailed to run between Rochdale and Daniel Fold only. Service 468 continues hourly between Rochdale and Bury.
480 (Transdev): New Sunday daytime service proposed between Bury and Holcombe Brook
501 (TBC): Evening/early morning tender available with some late evening journeys withdrawn and early morning journeys introduced.
511 (TBC): Evening tender available with some late journeys withdrawn/re-timed.
520 (TBC): Evening/Sunday tender available with additional evening journey introduced at 2302 from Westhoughton to Bolton
525/526/527 (TBC): Evening/Sunday tender available with some journeys on services 525 and 527 withdrawn and partly replaced by new journeys on service 526.
533 (Vision Bus): Current evening and Sunday journeys withdrawn and partly replaced by services 1 and 541.
534 (TBC): Evening/Sunday tender available with journeys no longer serving The Valley leisure complex and early Sunday morning journeys introduced.
537 (TBC): Re-routed to serve The Valley leisure complex and extended to Eagley Way with a two-hourly evening and Sunday service introduced between Bolton and Bank Top.
541 (TBC): Evening/Sunday tender available with some late evening journeys introduced replacing service 533.
557 (TBC): Tender available with 1405 journey from Royal Bolton Hospital withdrawn
559 (TBC): Tender available with 2056 Sunday journey from Ashton-in-Makerfield to Bolton withdrawn.
571/572 (TBC): Evening/early morning tender available with some extra early morning and late evening journeys introduced.
573/574 (TBC): Tender of new services introduced in January 2022 available in April 2022 with a two-hourly evening and Sunday service introduced on both routes.
B2 (Transdev): New two-hourly Sunday daytime service proposed to be introduced.
B4 (Transdev): Route and times changed with service re-routed via Fern Grove, replacing service 494. Two-hourly Sunday daytime service proposed to be introduced between Rochdale and Heywood centre (not serving Captain Fold/Hopwood loop)
R2 (Transdev): Revised timetable proposed with some additional early morning journeys introdued
R4/R5 (Transdev): Existing R4 and R5 services are merged together to form an hourly service between Rochdale and Peppermint Bridge via Milnrow and Newhey.
R5 (TBC): New service introduced running between Rochdale and Littleborough via Milnrow then via Wild House Lane and Milnbrow Road to Smithy Bridge (old 452 route) then via railway station, New Road, Stubley and into Littleborough, partly replacing service 456.
R6 (TBC): New service introduced running between Rochdale and Milnrow via Kingsway and Ladyhouse, providing a bus service to Kingsway Business Park
R7 (TBC): Route and times changed with service re-routed to serve Kingsway Business Park and extended from Castleton to Middleton via Stake Hill Industrial Estate and Boarshaw, partly replacing services 12/12A and providing regular links between Middleton, Stake Hill, Kingsway Business Park and Rochdale.
R9 (Transdev): Existing R9 service, between Rochdale and Foxholes, is proposed to be withdrawn.
R9 and R10 (TBC): New circular routes introduced, with service R9 running between Rochdale and Shaw via Turf Hill and High Crompton (existing 435 route) before continuing to Rochdale via Newhey and Milnrow (existing 408 route), while service R10 will run in the opposite direction.
Rochdale Local Link (Nexus Move): Proposed to be withdrawn and replaced by new services R6, R9 and R10 and re-routed service R7.
TBC: Replacement service to the Oldham-Derker section of the 402 (and maybe extension to Royal Oldham Hospital)
