In days gone by, SYPTE always bought buses with big, powerful engines and I believe that practice continues now with its successors (First and Stagecoacbu

If the Enviro300s are now considered unsuitable for most GM routes what were they thinking of when the 55/06 Darts were ordered?

The Darts were never supposed to be for Gm originally, they were diverted to Gm as there was so many ancient buses to be replaced after the takeover. As well as that that there was a few newer buses that were left in bits and others that badly needed some work. However, a lot of those darts were around a bit too long considering the services as they weren't moved on until the man Enviro300's arrived 4 years later.
