It arrived at Wigan yesterday, the other two Olympians at Wigan have been inspected and are getting sold to another company.
In other news 22235 has been reinstated and is on the 600 this morning.

I don't know the details of 22132, but it could so easily have suffered major engine failure (e.g. piston detachment), had a minor fire, etc etc. It's also possible that the engine wasn't the problem but that it suffered chassis corrosion/rotting/cracking.

At the end of the day, it's up to Stagecoach what they do with their ELVs and when, so please stop going on about how quick they're disposed of.

I was making a comment not a criticism.

Spotted 36096 approaching the White City roundabout this afternoon. Thought it would be operating on the 291 but it was operating on the 256. Real contrast to the Enviro400s and E400Hs.

There are NO redundant STAGECOACH buses in BOLTON

10429 has finally arrived at Sharston - was being prepped and lettered up this afternoon. Should hit the road in the next day or so.

Certainly no sign of Metrolink replacement buses at the Piccadilly end. Even though its half-term in some parts of GM, the proportion of schools services run by Stagecoach is fairly low, so I wouldn't imagine there were many buses involved.
Sorry to persevere on this. Last Tuesday I was in Manchester Piccadilly 0820 to 1000 and at Shudehill from 1445 to 1600 - all times approx. The Metrolink replacement buses were running to Crumpsall for the Bury line and Central Park for the Oldham/Rochdale line. At the city end I think it would have been Sr Peter's Square though I am not sure. I lost count of the number of buses I saw on these replacement services. Tridents 17002/10/11/240/1/2/3 and many Enviro400s including 19088/89,192xx,193xx and 194xx. My estimate would have been 25 buses in total, possibly more.

Hang on. 17002/10/1 are in London on Rail replacement associated work, and 17243 is no longer a Stagecoach bus, and has never been a Stagecoach Manchester/Wigan bus. However, you mentioning 19088/9 does give some clue as to what might have happened. These are both Wigan buses, and as Wigan Schools are usually out of step with the rest of GM, I'm guessing it was their half-term last week. Wigan also have a higher proportion of schools work than other Stagecoach Manchester depots - hence a few to spare last week. The newer Enviro400s could have been made available by delaying repaint of cascaded Enviro400s into MagicBus livery, and I suppose a few others could have been resourced by not running 50 or 192 shorts, and dropping the odd 86.
I think you must be right about St. Peters Square as well. I don't get much chance to venture out at lunch time, but I did nip down to Chorlton Street and back up Portland Street to Lever Street, one day last week (I think it was Tuesday, actually), and I certainly didn't see any Metrolink replacement buses, and trams have certainly been running from Undercroft along Aytoun Street the whle time. The only thing I have noticed recently is more "double" trams off-peak.....leading to inevitable delays to buses and other traffic both on Aytoun Street and London Road.

17002/10/11 (and possibly 17567) are said to have returned to Manchester on Sunday 15 February, from a reply to a query I posted on the London Bus yahoo group as I was planning to see if I could get some shots of them when I was down there on 18 February.

RE: Stagecoach Manchester
As far as I know all Wigan Schools unusually enough were off this half term at the same time as other Schools in Greater Manchester.

As for Metrolink Replacement Wigan's 10031 is still at Hyde Road and was on Metrolink Replacements last night along with Stockport Depot 19633 and a few other Standard Enviro400s

RE: Stagecoach Manchester
Some interesting vehicles out and about this morning from Middleton. 26130 seen in service ( for the first time by me) on the 112, as was 16949. 16971 out and about, albeit not in service. It seems as though reports of their withdrawal/transfer were a bit premature, as I would have thought that there were plenty of potential replacements in reserve at Wigan.
