Stagecoach have posted their summer and post-summer changes.

Summer changes will see the holiday timetables coming in with some services having an overall reduction of frequency on Monday-Saturday journeys.

Post-summer changes will see the normal frequencies restored. In addition, the 56 (Higher Blackley-Manchester circular) will be withdrawn, the 147 is reduced to half-hourly with extra journeys on the 143, while the 201/203 are increased to every 10 minutes on each route.

The 8 curtailment to St Mary's Gate will just kill this long-running service. As it currently provides excellent connections to Megabus, Metrolink and Other Local Services. It a bad decision by whoever suggested it.

RE: Greater Manchester Service Changes - T42 PVM - 04/08/2022 23:36

[*]28 (Warrington's Own Buses) - subject to Warrington Borough Council

typo here as says the 28 is Wigan - Warrington but its Leigh to Warrington, could mean the 22A

There is a few like that on the official document like 56 Manchester to Rochdale, which is strange as that service will be long gone before October anyways.

I think it because they done it as the local authorities that the route travel through

If it's the same as rail franchises it means the existing operator keeps the contract but the terms of the contract are revised.

Does it reduce the number of vehicles required?

Maybe the choice was truncate the service or reduce the frequency?
